Moin,
Was sagt die Fachwelt dazu?
"Use of the rhino motif was another idea of the British importers, since followed by their counterparts in other countries. It came about by chance, as the cars sent by the factory for the 1982 Birmingham Motor Show had plastic spare wheel covers carrying a drawing of a rhinocerous. They had used other symbols before, but the rhino appealed. They had it redrawn and adopted it as a sign of toughness and dependability for the 4x4 range. This, in turn led to support for the National Federation of Zoos and African conservation projects to protect the Black Rhinos."
