Last week I've seen a post on facebook about the steel rims being 1kg heavier than the alloys. So I found this rims... made by Borbet, 1kg lighter, they came with nuts and fitted perfectly. The pressure sensors can be moved really easy. I really like the "old school" look.

A little diy in the weekend, I made a luggage space for light things like a pillow or blankets. The net is from aliexpress, about 10 euro. Side rails are made from 16mm curtain rods and pipe mounts with M6 screws, another 10-15 euro.

I got 2 small pouches for the rear door, to put the air compressor, tire puncture repair kit and other small stuff.

Yes, it works, nothing else needed. Just take out the original one, install the Baleno/Swift one.

The rear intermittent setting is not working (first time I had the impression it was working) and I'm not going to mess with the electrics, for me it's important that the front is working.

the wiper switch with a used one from Suzuki Baleno

Others in this forum used the switch from the Suzuki Swift or Swift sport.

But it's good to know that the from the Baleno can used too.

Yes, looks the same as the one from Swift but it's cheaper, at least as a new part if you look for it online. The code for Baleno is 37310M68P11000

I just changed the wiper switch with a used one from Suzuki Baleno. I tried to order a new one but it can't be found anywhere, so I got this one from Italy (62 euro, together with the lights switch and shipping).

10 minutes job, plug-n-play. Now I have adjustable timing for the front wipers and intermittent for the back.

Had my second year service on Friday, at 22.940km. Oil, filters and brake fluid change.

The clutch pedal has a little squeak, of course it made no sound in the service... so I put some silicone grease, hope the sound will go away.

My old rear camera died in November and I had a cheap one at home so I replaced it. But you get cheap (actually free, it came with the android unit), it won't last... so now this one is dying also. Still cold outside so I'm not in the mood to install a new one but I have a new 70mai at home.

I installed a mole panel in the back, a new shift knob, wireless phone holder and charger. And tried to install a short mirror mount... no luck, the print was bad.

I don't know if Osram can do that too, but Philips directs the warm exhaust air towards the headlight glass in the Ultinon Pro 6000 BOOST series, which is supposed to prevent freezing in winter.

For me, that's a very clear argument in favor of Philips (it also only costs half as much as Osram).

Counterargument: The compatibility list currently only includes the Swift and various mopeds...

    Regards, Jojo

How? The radiator is outside the headlight, just like the Osram.

I installed a headlight washer kit, this would be the first winter I can try it and see if it melts the snow.

Saturday I put some clear tint on the headlights and front turn signals.

For me, who I usually don't get the tint right, specially on the sides, this turned out quite good. The tint was good also, I could stretch it perfectly without any problems.

I didn't have the time and the mood to do the fog lights also but maybe in the future.

Got myself the scanner I needed, it's a more advanced elm327 (also aliexpress, about 20 euro). With the SZ Viewer software, I can see everything... including ABS, SRS, 4x4, AT Transmission and so on. Installed it on my phone but also on the player (not really necessary but I wanted to)

Actually, the LED bulb was the problem... I know, it's strange, but when I installed the LED, got the dashboard error. After I replaced it with the halogen bulb, the error disappeared. From what I found online, this "system warning" is a general error from the CAN computer that might be related to different problems (rear camera, bulbs and other). Since I don't have (yet) a scanner that might work on the Jimny, the only solution was to replace the bulb with the original one... and the problem is solved.

By "spa" I meant waxing. But of course I washed it before, insisting underneath it. Dirt and leaves can be found behind the plastic arches.

Saturday I took it to the "spa"... cavity wax everywhere. Last year I used 3M but it got really expensive so now I bought Teroson. Got 4 cans in the chassis and 2 other in different places underneath the car.

Also Saturday I changed the reverse light with Osram LED... in the front, all led, no problem. In the back, just this one got me a "system warning", so yesterday I had to change it again with the original bulb.

Not much done in the last month... made some paint corrections (the plan was to level it, put clear coat over them, level and polish) but scratched it again in other places. So I won't bother too much about it, only if the metal is exposed I'll put a little paint over it.

The small led bar was taking some water, so I put some silicone. Changed the wiring to the horns, used the socket from the original small horn. And installed front mud guards... the 215 tires throw the mud on the side, hopefully now it will be better.

Yesterday I changed the gear knob... contrary to the information I found online, it's not glued in. It's screwed in with thread lock, so don't need to pool like crazy.

It was a nice weekend in the mountains, 800km drive (both ways). I slept quite decent in the car but I wouldn't do it for more than 2-3 nights.

I had a problem with the lighter socket, the fuse to be more exact. One of my led strips from the charging port burned the fuse, fixed it only when I got back on the road, in a gas station.

Can you make the passenger seat flat enough to create a flat surface?

Yes, if you take the headrest out and put it on the seat, with some blankets to level it out. It was fine without the blankets but I'm sure when I'll actually sleep, I will need them. Head to the trunk, so only the feet will go on the front seat.

I got 2 mattresses and 2 blankets, plus a sleeping bag, so I'm quite confident it will be fine.

Yesterday I made some spacers and protection for the rear speakers, the membrane was touching the plastic grille before. Now it's moving as it should, no distortion, the sound is better.

I also installed a small led bar over the front license plate, with a separate button (dual button from aliexpress).

Since I was there, I also tried the sleeping mattress... I'm 1.82m and I can barely fit. But I fit, a little in diagonal. If the weather is good, next weekend I'll be in the mountains.

I’m not interested in military stuff. If I want a gun, in can go and buy one. I don’t like rusty junk that’s still good enough to get into trouble with the law.

    My favorite finds are coins.

I'm not interested in guns (even if a Luger would be something...), mostly soldier's items, buttons, buckles, lighters, watches, coins, medals, dog tags... mostly German stuff, since they were much "richer" in both wars.

Ammo and guns are illegal to keep, in my country, they are reported and destroyed by the police.

Going back to my car, yesterday I finished the headlight washers. Installed a relay and a fuse (I will do some small adjustments in the future), after that the nozzles and hose.

Yes. This is one of my hobbies and a reason why I need a good 4x4, metal detecting in ww areas.

Same here. Detecting is my favourite hobby.

People here are crazy sometimes, so better go at night or when it’s foggy…😂

Here I can go anytime, almost anyplace (except archeological sites). I know Germany has different laws, depending on the land. I tried it 2-3 times there, not much luck :))
